Welcome to Leland's world of Andean Music; the world of the majestic condor and of the llama; the world of the Incas and Aymaras, of their festive carnavals and solemn processions; the world of the Sun and Mother Earth and their eternal symbiance; the world of the Altiplano - the high plains of the Andes mountains.

For many years I had been fascinated by the sound of Andean Music, and the culture which developed it over the centuries. I have been playing Andean music for a number of years, and have performed on occasions with groups in the United States and France. This site is offered to give an insight into this wholly enchanting musical art form indigenous to the high plains of the Andes mountains of South America. For years, Andean musicians have attracted crowds around the world, in concert halls, theatres, and even shopping centres and metro stations, mesmerising the public with the scenic and profound sounds of the panpipes. This site offers some background into the various forms of Andean music as well as some of the musical instruments found in this delightful form of art.
